Learning chemistry doesn’t have to be scary, except on Halloween!

From the Chemistry Department of IES Lucus Solis, we have contributed to the crazy Halloween week with the lava lamp experiment for spooky science. The experiment was based on density demonstration.

Did you know that oil and water are not the same density? That is why oil and water don't mix.

However, they will add up to something that's more fun. This difference in density is the foundation of the fascinating Lava Lamp Science Experiment.

Our students enjoyed a lot with this Halloween experiment, as well as, the homemade lava lamp offers science lessons about concepts of density, nonpolar liquids, and chemical reactions in an exciting and visually appealing way.

Here we have some pictures!
